HOW WILL THE RECIPIENT BE SELECTED?
Committees comprised of one board member and donors will evaluate applications in each of the focus areas. An objective scoring system will be used to determine the top five applicants. (It is intended for each of the focus areas to be represented in the top five applicants. However, the scoring will determine the final applicants.) An executive summary of the finalists will be sent to all members/donors prior to the established annual meeting. Finalists will also have an opportunity to present their proposal to all members at the annual meeting.
Members will be able to vote absentee, electronically, or by mail/fax if unable to attend the meeting. Members attending the annual meeting will vote after the presentations are completed. Voting will be done preferentially, listing choices 1-5 on each ballot. Ballots will be counted if all finalists are ranked.
